Just because a business‘ annual revenue is between $50 and 200 million and has approximately 300 employees does not make it any less complex than the “big guys”.
In fact, segmentation in the marketplace often means that the big guys have created brands that actually compete head-to-head with SMB’s. However, a major differentiating factor is the established infrastructure (human & technical) that larger companies often have. Having seasoned dedicated staff to focus strategically versus on day-today operations is an area where SMB’s cannot compete. And historically this puts SMB’s at a disadvantage.
